For more complex buildings or new builds, having in-depth building regulation knowledge as well as the ability to fire risk assess the project means that your recommendations for fire safety improvement are more likely to meet both types of legislation, without having to employ two professionals, and allow for cost effectively.
Gemstone Building Surveyors are qualified to use PAS 79 approach, a recognised methodology of recording fire risk, your fire risk assessment report will cover all relevant aspects of fire safety.
Our qualified fire risk assessors can provide assessment(s) for your building, whatever its purpose e.g.; bed-and-breakfast properties, offices, retail shops and units, hotels and restaurants, houses of multiple occupation (HMO), flats, academic facilities including schools, colleges and university buildings, medical facilities including doctors surgeries, laboratories and hospitals, factories and community buildings.
The nine steps dictated by PAS 79 are covered in all our fire risk assessment reports:
Fast response of service – The fire risk assessment will expeditiously follow your instruction to ensure you are legally compliant.
Taking away the hassle – Although you remain responsible in law for meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, appointing a competent person to carry out the fire risk assessment for you takes the stress out of the compliance.
Quality of documents – Your report will be easy to read and provide descriptive measure(s) to be undertaken, putting you in control of your compliance.
Professionally qualified independent surveyors – Professional assessment backed by the RICS and CABE to give you quality assurance.
Transparency of fees - At the time of contract, you will be provided with a fee proposal for the Completed Fire Risk Assessment.
